About Cerniando

Hello! I’m Javi, and this virtual corner called “Cerniando” is a blog… and a couple of other things. It’s an exploration in words, an open letter, a tool shed, patches of life, an experiment and, fundamentally, a collection of lessons learned throughout my journey in the world of Digital Marketing.

The term “cerniando” finds its roots in my childhood, on the rooftop of the house where I grew up, home to a special tool: a “cirniera” (sieve). This wooden frame with a mesh was used to sift and purify the raw gravel or soil, gathered from ravines and mountains. To sieve meant to separate the fine sand, the essence, which would then be mixed with cement and water to build.

I was born in Gran Canaria in the latter half of the eighties. Throughout my life, I’ve also called Madrid, London, and Málaga home, exploring various cities and countries along the way. In every step, the constant has been sieving. This act of filtering and learning, of pouring the experiences I’ve encountered along my path, has been crucial in building not only my knowledge but also my identity, which I share here with you.

Welcome to Cerniando, where I hope each sieving is an opportunity to share, learn, and build together!
